Maritime Rendezvous

An attempt to get derailed vacation plans back on track.

After all the planning, after everything had been scheduled and coordinated to a T, after all the time and effort to make sure this was the best anniversary trip ever ... a series of cascading events threw everything into disarray.

A slightly delayed flight became a missed connection, became a rental car unavailability, became a late check-in ... and that, in turn, resulted in a missed departure on the yacht that would have transported us on a sunset dinner cruise around the island.

And thus my wife and I found ourselves, attempting to catch up with our chaotic, out of control itinerary. Quite literally.

Our jet-ski revved high
Closing in on that damned yacht
... In time for dessert?

Prompt: Your character is on vacation and loses track of days (as one should do on vacation ) and accidentally misses out on a long-planned vacation adventure they booked and paid for months ago. What was the vacation adventure (zip lining? white water rafting? horseback riding? hang gliding? or ???) and how do they convince the owner of the business who runs the adventure to let them go the next day (at no additional charge)?
