Found It

I sat in the kitchen drinking my second cup of coffee (maybe third...) and listening to the drip, drip, drip of the faucet. I’d been sitting too long. I had plenty of things I could be doing, probably more I should be doing, but I just couldn’t seem to get started.

Nobody needed me and I had nothing to do beyond cleaning an already clean house, doing laundry for people who know their clean clothes will be in the laundry room, because they always are. Some days I don’t even talk to them beyond “See you later!” as they rush out the door.
I needed something to do. Something that I could be excited about, something that would last, and give me a reason to get up in the morning.
And that’s when I started writing...
