In Memory of 9/11: The Faith of a Nation

In remembrance of the heroes and victims and their families - a poem in their honor.

The threat of serious attacks
Across the globe
Impacting our coastlines.
A proactive and managed response -
A universal elegy
For victims and their loved ones
Hand-stamped
in highest regards;
The epitome of prayerful sacrifice
And allegiance to freedom's
Greatness and duty.

The fluid, tear-jerking tragedy
Memorialized
For the nearly three thousand lives lost
On this fateful day
Twenty-five years ago,
On this blessed continent's
Glistening shores -

A meticulous battle and global opportunity
For national security -
Policies established back home
And overseas;
A forward-thinking solution
Of protective military positioning
Stands as a further minimalistic approach
And endeavor -

The land of hopes and dreams in the folds
Of the Earth's belligerent drives;
Forfeited engagements
And desperate ties,
Forever set in stone -
To limit and denigrate
These planned attacks
In bold and challenging arenas...

A prayerful and loving journey
For distinguished citizens -
An imposing force for evil
Reaching out
And attacking our country's
Free and democratic,
Prosperous shores.
The sacrifices of thousands
Of service men and women,
First responders, and Gold Star Families
Are respectfully honored
On this sad anniversary;
The ghastly, horrific acts perpetrated
By the fundamentalist, Islamic terror group
Al Qaeda on this day
Twenty-five years ago;
In the greatest city
Of our beloved nation
And possibly the world...
The country united like never before -
At odds with this evil, radical,
Fascist agenda...

The heights of human importance
And strengthening dignity
Mentored, meaningfully exerted
And explained
By the sapient nurturing
Of this earthly home -

The pulse of our great nation
Beats loud and raucous,
As we peer into the clouds
At the prodigious banner
Of light and hope
Waving above the country's
Fruitful creation;
An authored embodiment
Of this great republic and democracy
Defining the ghastly principles
Of contempt toward our way of life,
With calamitous harshness
From the fundamentalist militant forces
Of Islamic faith,
And the Earth's
Warring idealogues...

That immense cultural commentary
Moving forward -
The infinite clout
Of the most lethal attacks
In America's history;

An acknowledgment
Of the merciful providence
Of these noble and educated artifices...
The countless generations
Of supreme, patriotic, and loving souls;
And the golden visage
Of the Pearly Gates in the forefront...
The Land of Forecasted Strength
And Beauty
Stands in awesome verve and unity,
Before the Lordly and Blessed
Countenance of Christ,
For all eternity...
