After a challenging day with much to do, a quiet corner with a warm coffee cup...comfort. |
| Each day can be quite hard to live through living's daily tasks, but when the work is finished for the day, I need to stop. A cup of coffee can be brewed and crafted to perfection. With that cup so warm and aromatic, I find a place to sit and sip. What do I hope to find in that moment? I hope to find a place to give my mind rest without another requirement. There, is where, I can ponder the idea of value in who I am created to be. The dark roast, filling the cup, brings lightness to the mind. A frothy cream with sweetness, just enough, gives a moment's peace to think. Must each thought be another solution? Contemplate the amber of the fire in the hearth, that warms the person on a chilly evening. Has God created me only for work, or moreover to be found in joyful love of Him? Am I only valuable when I make something others value or because He made me of value? Blest coffee on the tongue, its wondrous taste to sip. Great time for thinking with my coffee cup!
