Just Because

A poem with a message about who I am

Just because I have Attention Deficit Disorder
It doesn't mean I can't do it
It doesn't mean I'm any less of a person
It doesn't mean I'm stupid
Just because I have Attention Deficit Disorder
Don't pity me
Don't ask less of me than you than what you expect from others
Don't treat me like a child
Just because I have Attention Deficit Disorder
I'm not retarted
I'm not incapeable of doing things for myself
Just because I have Attention Deficit Disorder
Don't treat me any differently than you would any other person

This was very hard for me to write because I've had a hard time accepting the truth. I'm a little worried about people knowing this about me but I think it's time for me to accept that I am who I am.
