Wishing Well

This is a poem mostly centered around having hope and encouragement in yourself.

Wishing Well

Each of us has a wishing well
A place we wish upon, but never tell
The secret place within our hearts
Which we keep all our special dreams and thoughts

Like the well our wishes run deep
Filled with the aspiration we try to meet
Yet sometimes our dreams seem to die
As we neglectfully let the well run dry

Firmly within rock and encased in stone
We find the inner strength that is ours alone
Among the ripples and leaky drops
We make our heartfelt wishes stand out

Through the fear and doubt in our hearts
Courage is there to play a big part
As only with courage do we find our true strength
To overcome each obstacle that blocks our way

Although you may feel that your wishes are small...
Or maybe seem not that important at all...
Remember it is within us, who get to choose
Our purpose in life , decisions and rules

The answers we seek are indeed close
These are the wishes we desire most
The wishing well stands strong and sure
Go ahead and wish into one...
