WHAT MATTERS

What really matters these days?

What matters most of all
In this life we choose
Is finding peace and happiness
And curing all the blues.

What matters is the sunshine
And the rainbow after rain;
What matters is our families
Love that will remain.

What matters is the way we feel
About our fellow man -
Standing tall when we believe
We do the best we can.

What matters is friendship
Knowing there is someone who
Will be there if you need them
And always stand by you.

What matters cannot be bought
And it's something we can't sell
For it will be inside our hearts
It's where "what matters" dwell.

What matters is the courage
That helps us to go on -
No matter what the troubles,
With God we can't go wrong.

So when your world is upside down
And it seems life splatters,
Remember the little things
That add up to what matters!
