Love is gentle yet so strong. Won second place in poetry contest

My Valentine

Your love is gentle, yet so strong
 It shores me up when life goes wrong.
And when I'm blind and cannot see
 You're always there to stand by me.

I cannot fathom how it's so
 That when my ugly side I show
You still hang on with gentle touch
 And say you love me just as much.
