The day she died -

NOVEMBER 20TH - AGAIN

Thirty-one years ago - 1971
So long ago and yet it seems
Like it was only yesterday;
She had run out of dreams -

Yet I see her smile
The way she used to do -
With such amazing courage,
She made her way through.

She raised eight children,
Made home a happy memory;
And each time she held
A baby upon her knee -

With a wistful look in her eye, she said -
"I don't regret any children that I had -
And I wish I had a baby too;
They are so sweet, so brand new!"

But the years passed by,
And home ceased to be
A place where she found love;
Just so much - uncertainty.

She chose to leave this world behind
On November 20th, and still I find
That although she's gone I won't forget
The sister that I loved, in memory yet.

Dedicated to Poor Little Ila..
God bless her - and give her comfort now..
