Pray for Peace on Earth

There’s holiday magic in the air.
The spirit of Christmas has started to show.
The scents of potpourri,
Cinnamon spice, berries,
Apples and pears,
And incense delight our nose.
The halls are decked with ribbons and bows.
There’s a glistening light everywhere.
As friends and loved ones come together
From both faraway and near.
Once more we revere the meaning of the holidays.
For some of us, it’s the birth of the Christ Child.
For some it’s Hanukah or Festival of Lights
As we light up the Menorah each day.
And for some, it’s for whatever we believe in.
But for most of us, it’s a time to pray for peace
And wish joy to the world.
It's a time to help those who are less fortunate than us.
As we strive to hold on to the true meaning of this holiday season,
We hope it continues throughout the new year.
How wonderful it would be.
December blessings to all.
