Quilter's block.

The “almost” quilt
awaits the hand
of endless guilt.

It was not planned;
my mind adrift
awaits the hand.

I have no gift
of long-term things.
My mind adrift,

attached, no strings.
I am so bored
of long-term things.

Excitement, stored,
I am a rock.
I am so bored.

This quilter’s block
comes custom-built!
I am a rock
of endless guilt.

Using the terzanelle rhyming pattern...not as easy as you might think!
Neither is finishing a quilt I began close to 20 years ago. *Facepalm*
