Sunset at the Beach

Experiencing a sunset on the beach

I watch the playful sunlight
dancing to the music
in your icy blue eyes;
I smell the breeze
of many summers together
blowing through your hair;
I hear the enchanting song
that you used to sing to me
splashing against the rocks;
I feel the sandy grains of time
slipping through my fingers
and disappear as they are swept away;
I taste your sensuous lips-
salty, and yet sweet at the same time-
as they press against mine;
Slowly descending,
you disappear beyond the horizon,
and I just simply smile-
knowing that you’ll be back tomorrow.
