Desolation Town

Most of us have to go through Desolation town at some point in life's journey.

Darkness all around
Eyes wide open
Face a frown
Back in Desolation Town.

Black skies persecuted eyes
Open wide gazing down.
Crackling thunder buckling knees,
Washing ashore running aground.

Imagination and merged realities
Raising feelings from within.
Not taking anymore of what I took before.
Changes abound in Desolation Town.

I taste, touch, and smell the pain of you again.
You can't hurt me anymore like you did before.
So take it, take it down,
To Desolation Town.
