Seduced by the lure of the neon lights in the big city.

The Neon Lights

We attended high school as boy and girlfriends.
Soon after graduation you brought us to an end.
You said you wanted to explore the world free,
And you did not need me to find your dream.
Though I did not understand, I wished you well.
You left me eagerly, but you were bound for Hell.
The drugs, and alcohol, took away your dreams.
To buy your drugs the strip provided the means.
The lure of the neon lights shine in the big city.
They casts its spell on you offering you no pity.
You now live your life on that concrete strip.
Subjecting your body to whatever makes it trip.
How long do you think you will be the Queen?
Treat your John's like subjects in your domain.
Charge a high fee for only you they will now pay.
Seduce your clients with your charms as you lay.
You didn't find your dream and no longer have mine.
Because you took mine with you and left me behind.
When you're no longer Queen I hope you seek help.
Rid yourself of drugs and again respect yourself.
The lure of the neon lights shine in the big city.
