My Husband and Cats

My husband's unique relationship with Cats

My husband has a way with cats
That I don't quite understand.
They seem to flock towards him,
And run away from me.

We have three cats in our home
And each one goes directly to him
when he walks in the door.
They come to me only if they don't see him
and they are lonely.

We also have a stray cat that comes in our garage
She must be cold this evening
Because she is meowing
and wants in.

Although when I went to the back door
to show my face she ran the opposite direction.
He has made friends with my husband
but is still scared of me.

This hurts because I love animals so much
and I just want to be its friend.
I want her to trust me as she trusts my husband
I guess I will have to sit and wait
maybe she will someday warm up to me,
In time -- I sure hope she does.
I want my own chance to get to know the critter
We have named Shadow.
