A short poem to hopefully open some young girls eyes about what can happen to the young. |
| A young girl of twenty, With lessons to learn. No one could tell her, She'd find out in turn. Wild by nature, Driven by youth. Reckless abandon, Taught her the truth. He robbed her of strength And replaced it with fear. He raped her and left her, To drown in her tears. The pain was tremendous. The shame was too much. Would she ever desire To feel a mans touch? Time heals all wounds, At least, that's what they say. But deep in her soul, She wants him to pay. But not in this country. Not at this time. She lived through it, So everything's fine. Robbed of the innocence, She held in her youth. It happened to her. It can happen to you! |
