Heart Broken

A poem I wrote at 5:30am-feeling whats its like to be heart broken

Closing my eyes from the light,
that blinded me away from the truth.
Stole from me my sight,
and the ability to feel what I thought was right

You told me a lie I thought was true,
degraded me and left me stranded in the night.
I thought I could believe in you,
trust in something that to me was new.

You tore out my heart,
and tossed it away.
When you left is when I fell apart.
Lost and alone, left in the dark.

I try to move on, to stake my ground.
It's just so hard when I can see your face,
it's everywhere and all around,
but no love, no ounce of feeling can be found.
