This is about how haphazard a soldiers thoughts are at war |
| Inside, I surrender to the dark, Those feelings, savage as a shark. Maybe I should quiet, those voices inside, But no, I cannot, the door is open wide. The sting, and burn, of the darkened sun, Steals my care, then badly I fare. Pull and twist, all is amiss, I jump, then land, the bullets hiss. Crawling Then falling And life is stalling Yet hearing someone calling Its time to move, once again, I cannot weep over newly lost friend. It will sicken me, to the end, All this pain that cannot mend. Can't be helped, not by me, All this horror will earn it's fee. No more thoughts on what I do, The enemy has again come into view. |
