We all need a haven where comfort is. |
Sanctuary I seek sanctuary In blue oceans deep Along razor edged reefs In wrecks where morays sleep I seek sanctuary By the granite harbour wall With back turned to restless seas The oak masts stand quietly tall I seek sanctuary In this deep cavern hall As roots intrude from above The dank dark earth engulfs all To find sanctuary Safe to your temple I creep With fraught flighted prayer I give body and soul to keep Be my sanctuary The shelter where I find Nestled in your strong embrace True peace in body, spirit, mind Winner of Outlaw Poet's Weekly Contest |
