sleeples night

I couldn't get to sleep; this is why.

It's so late at night;
I want to sleep so badly,
but every time I close my eyes,
all I see is you.

It kills me inside,
knowing you're so far away,
and yet you feel so close,
every time I close my eyes.

So, I'm wide awake right now,
it's at least 1 a.m.,
and no matter how hard I try,
this is just another sleepless night.

And so, I lay in bed,
trying to get some rest.

But, no matter what I do,
every time I close my eyes,
all I see is you.
