Wrote this for all here at Writing.com
It’s Christmas Eve
Shopping’s no fun
The eggnog is chilling
The baking’s all done

Your nerves are frazzled
Your spirit is wan
Assembling the bicycles
Has just begun

There is glitter and pizzazz
Twinkle and shine
Laughter and glee
Of once a year kind

The hustle and bustle
The race against time
Has left you feeling
A bit out of rhyme

Take a moment my friend
And look to the east
Only a moment is all
Look for the star of peace

Feel the love and joy,
The gladness of heart
It’s the Spirit of Christmas
You have given a start.

I leave you with this
You, I hold so dear
May peace and love be with you
Throughout the New Year.

Merry Christmas to all my Writing. Com friends!!
