Oh no! Valentines Day is here
I remember that one
When all that I got was a tear

You promised me the world
Said many sweet nothings
Told me that I was your only girl

You looked me in my eyes
And told me that you loved me
That was nothing but lies

I unpacked the old Valentine’s Day cards
You wrote wonderful loving poetry
Seemingly just for me
Now all those words are simply disregards

Honey this and honey that
Isn’t that how we used to talk?
Now if ever I see you again
You’d better duck my bat
