Waiting - Who, Me? A Dad waits for his daughter. |
Daughter Mine I'm all in a dither. My legs are aquiver. I just want to go, And I find you too slow. You've taken an hour To finish your shower, And now for your makeup, More time you will take up. The play will have started Before we've departed. But need I say more? Let's head out that door. I hate to be late, And I hate just to wait. I can't tell you how, But I want to go now. We're ready for leavin'. A big sigh I'm heavin'. You're looking so great, Your dad's heart wants to break. I don't know how you do it. You say, "Nothing to it", 'Cuz we always get there With minutes to spare. |
