Fear

Is it that scary feeling you get
When you enter into a dark room
And can’t find the light switch
And your mind starts playing tricks

Or is it that dream you had last night
The one where you can only remember pieces
And you wonder if it was a warning
Or maybe it was of something to be

Or is it those few minutes when
You can’t find your child
Your stomach turns to knots
And the lump in your throat is choking you

When fear is your opponent
And your heart is racing
Remember to take a few deep breaths
Look it in the eye and take control
