JESUS LIVES IN MY HEART

When I'm alone and all the world is sleeping
I awake to find the blessings of the night;
I see the stars and know that He is watching
Over all the world, and everything's all right.

There is a peace that settles in my soul,
For Jesus lives in my heart and I am free
To grasp another day with all its glory;
He died for me on the cross at Calvary.

My sins forgiven, He urges me to go on
To lead a better life and speak His name
To the lost, the old and the forsaken;
He sees our faults and loves us just the same.

Jesus lives in my heart, I'm not alone;
I feel His love, and know He cares for me,
Jesus lives in my heart, and I rejoice
For I know His true compassion and mercy.
