the pain of you

a poem i wrote after loss of a loved one

the pain i felt when you told me the words
i tried to explain to you what you just did to me
i guess it wasn't very realistic
since you had it all planned out
without letting me know your intentions
in spite of all of this
i can still maintain my thoughts
though just barely
