Yes, it was the wedding of her dreams

It was the wedding of Anna's dreams. She could not believe that the moment had finally come, the wedding of her dreams.

Her dress was a foamy wash of white lace and satin and her bouquet was an elegant clutch of white orchids with just a hint of pink upon their throats. Ah, but the real touch of class came in the form of attendants dresses that were not the typical wedding nightmare; the color, the design just perfect. She had chosen to have a candlelight ceremony to heighten the perfection of the most romantic moment of her life. The church was subtly alive with the fragrance of lemons. Such an intriguing addition to the flowers that filled the church, lemon leaves. Yes, she was the queen of understated elegance and tasteful surprises.

He looked so handsome standing at the altar waiting. The perfect cut of his morning coat. She could not take her eyes off of him. It was the face of the groom that took Anna's breath away. The face that she had loved for so long. She had loved him since the day they had met on the elementary playground. But today, the look of love that floated from his face shining gently on his bride, the love of his life, was more than she could bear. So handsome, so happy, so in love. She could feel the tears welling in her eyes.

Suddenly she felt a tissue being placed in her hand and the little lady standing next to her leaned in and whispered, "I always cry at weddings, too. They make a lovely couple." Anna paused but decided not to reply. "But not as lovely as we would have," she thought.

It was the wedding of her dreams. Stolen by somebody else.
