Poetry experimentation, cinquain/Ezra Pound couplet -- of summer, clothed in weather
In June
the storms begin
as stiffened crinoline
worn beneath a white dress of cloud,
demure.

Sunrise over rain-soaked young crops;
A blushing face splashed with brisk water.

July
dons her heavy
dampened clothes of clean clouds
hung and draped in gray calico,
dripping.

A roped laundry line strung from oak to ash;
long sips of lemonade during deep humidity.

August
gathers her skirts
with funnel cloud fingers
and runs from cracking lightning whips,
afraid

Without thinking she flies headlong into cold -
Late-summer showers courting near-winter snows.
