The Author of My Life

God is the author of my life, my pilot.

The author of my life must see all,
to be able to write before all is known
He must see the light where I see darkness,
and guide me through it, leave me not on my own

He must see possibility, where I see only a dream
He must know my heart and how it longs to be free
My words are from His guiding hand, not my will
He feeds me His Word, to be the the best I can be

He invites people into my life, this is no test
He needs me to be a light for the dark souls,
and allow myself to grow in His agape love
He allows me to help fill those lonely dark holes

Though I fall down, His words lift me back up
Through every adversity, I see a glimpse of light
The journey is long, but I enjoy it still
My life's end is written, that I will not fight

Lovingly nestled in the Lord's great care
I find my rest in peaceful heavenly splendor
Many loved one's I shall see again, I know
I will greet them all with a hug, so tender
