To The One Who Stole My Heart

the title says it all

I looked into your eyes and at that instant my heart was gone.
you took the place where it is supposed to be for so long.
With you I never wanted it back, it was yours to keep or so I thought.
now I sit alone and feel so distraught.

How could you take what I hold most dear
in a moment of madness which makes me fear
that I will never see it again to give to the one who truly deserves it.
the one who will never break it. I know now I have nothing to give but a gaping hole where
it used to be.
so now I will make my final plea.
please give it back to me.
it is no longer yours to keep and torture.
So please give me back my heart so I may love again.
