A silly, funny love poem I wrote while high on Coca-Cola and sugar. |
| You’re gonna hate me when you read this, ‘Cause the words I write are true. When you’re laughing, playing, silly, Baby Girl, I do love you. You wanna be sophisticated, you wanna be grown-up, You buy those gorgeous clothes and wear expensive make-up. Still I like you best (just to piss you off) when you’re relaxed and casual; “I’m scruffy!” you scoff. Baby, can’t you see It’s not the make-up that I love? Those jeans look so good on you but by themselves they’re nothing much. And as elegant as you are, my girl, all pretty, sleek and fine, It’s when you get a little goofy that I really know you’re mine. Your face is lovelier by far than a long midsummer’s day, But when a real smile lights it that’s when I grin and say, “You are so gorgeous my sweet little girl. I’d rather have you, baby, than anyone in the world.” Kiss your cheek and giggle ‘cause I’m drunk on love of you, Now don’t you say I’m crazy, Every single word is true! |
