A sleepless night

Have you not been able to sleep, because you are thinking of that special person?

I could not sleep, but think of you, with every breath I took.
I could not sleep, but long for you, with every word I thought.
I could not dream, but of your face, with everything I dreamt.
I could not dream, but of your embrace, with every moment that I slept.
I could not love, but you my dear, with all of my heart.
I could not love, but when you are near, my heart so longs for you.
And so I hope, that now my dear, you see what's in my soul.
And so I hope when you are near, your love will make me whole.
