Working for the Fairyland Mining Corp is not as easy as it seems |
FAIRYLAND MINING CORP No. 3 Storybook Lane Fairyland City, Fairyland Dear Mother and Father, I hope this letter finds the two of you doing well. Me? Well, it's been very interesting here at the FMC, certainly not what I expected! First, the recruiter didn't tell the entire truth regarding the housing situation. Oh, I have a house that I share all right, with six others to be exact. That's right six other grown dwarves in one small house and let me tell you, Mother, they are some of the most unkept dwarves you've ever seen. I can't remember the last time anyone dusted and because of that I sneeze non-stop! Needless to say, I appreciate the extra handkerchieves you included, Mother. Oh, don't get me wrong, Mother, they're a great group of guys. Well, except for one and he seems grumpy all the time, you'd think he was an ogre if you didn't know better. However, as I said before, the rest of the boys are great. Next, Father, you told me that working in the FMC would make a Dwarf of me and I guess that's true; however, the life in the mines is quite boring every day, we hi-ho off to work and every evening it's home from work we go. It's good money but there are times I wish something exciting would happen! Well, that's about all the news I have besides one of the guys, a rather happy chap, has started playing a tune and that means a night full of good times! Don't worry you two because we have a dwarf with us that is very down to earth and takes care of all of us. In fact, I call him Doc because he reminds me of our doctor back home. That's it for now. I know this is going to sound odd but for some reason I think there's a big change in the air! My love, Sneezy (haha--that's the nickname the fellas have given me) |
