A reminder that death is not the end, merely the beginnning.
It is an ocean wave, far out in the sea,
an inkling in the mind of the restless waters.
But, inevitably, unstoppably, moving closer,
it comes not, however, in malevolence.
Not to drown you in misery,
or to wash away the soul from your body.
But instead, to lap gently at your feet.
To welcome you,
to welcome you to that which waits beyond.
In all its glory and mystery,
to that which waits beyond.
