Thanksgiving "Thank's"/First Place winner--Thanksgiving Poetry Contest |
It is on that late November day, a day filled with trimmings on our tables, that we celebrate in a thankful way. Our blessings were witnessed in the past, we give thanks as our forefathers did, our hearts joined in prayer at last. We can surely be thankful for Our Bounty as we stir together in search of grace, we find our succulent turkeys in every county. With the wind whistling in the back tree, as over the land we display a peaceful nature, freedom's gestures admit we are free. Let us take the moments to fix our meals, be wise, our wishes knowing the steps of success as our happiness that shines awaits to arise. As we think on our children's place, time owns no better place in history, than to let peace spread for the whole human race. |
