When tricked, the only thing that can save you is an angel...

He told me to walk

pointing to the stars

He told me that I would find what I always wanted.

And I looked.

I turned back, and he was no more.

I walked towards those stars

but couldn’t reach them.

The longer I walked

the farther away they got.


I reached up, tried to touch one glittering speck

but it was to far.

I continued to stare

and got down on my knees.

I held my hands to my chest,

and prayed to God.

“Send me an angel,” I said out loud.


I want an angel.

One to hold me

One to kiss me.

One to dry my tears.

One to protect me.

And one to love me.


I want an angel

To lead me to the promised land,

where I will find everything I always wanted.
