My Angel

Written for a very special friend who helped saved me when I was in trouble.

They say, there are angels among us.
I found mine in a very special way.
Actually, she found me amongst my own strife.
When my desire was to end my life.
She gave me hope where there was none.
And bade me to “Hold On” when I wanted to run.
She kept the demons at bay.
And soothed my soul, drove out the dismay.
She is my friend in all things
From the curl in her toes
To the tip of her wings.
