The Dance

Music playing, people saying
Hi, how are you today?
Dresses made from silk and chiffon
and white gloves all around
The mirrored ball in the ceiling calls
with each reflection it shares
Drinks clinking, Drinks spilling
all over the white tablecloth
Sitting, watching, not wanting to be first,
at the end of the evening, I smell the worst
