Something in the Mail

Something in the mail,
Could it truly be?
Something in the mail-
Is it for me?

Could it be word?
Stemming from home,
Reminding me solemnly
That I’m not alone.

Could it be that package
I’ve been waiting for days
To get through it’s processes
And complete it’s ways.

I’m waiting for the people
That go through rain, sleet, and hail,
Quite simply, I’m waiting for
Something in the mail.
