The truth about these tiny, beautiful birds
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is for a poem about hummingbirds.
The Hummingbird
Flitting
Laterally
From flower to flower
They sip dewdrops of plant nectar
We think they are green-speckled hummingbirds
But their frilled wings are enchanted
As they tinkle laughter
They are fairies
Flitting
Magic
Provides their speed
Fairy dust their beauty
If we do not move, we will hear
The buzz of their tiny, lilting voices
But if we fidget, they are gone
Laughing at our wonder
Of fairyland
Magic
