Can't Cry

The difference between two people can be hard to overcome.

I hold you as you cry softly.
and I can only think of me.
I don't know how to cry,
and there's nothing I can do.
Reality stole my tears ages ago,
and that can't ever return.
I feel pain and sorrow,
I'm not inhuman you know.
I embrace joy and happiness,
but shed no tears to celebrate.
The only thing that separates us,
I just can't cry.
