Another Annie Poem |
23rd of July, 1971 There was a halo around the moon the evening Annie died. On that cool summer night the stars were dimmed by the bright expanse of moon surrounded by a silver faery ring, rain crystal thing, Annie on wing beyond my horizon. I wear Annie's wedding band opposite my own, on the other hand. A white gold reminder of Annie and another ring, a family ring wrought close by grief and love and of the halo around the moon the evening Annie died |
