Fireman

Lethal glowing flames grew mightier, hot as sun
Feeble walls threatened to collapse, and crush
Outcries sent sharp shivers down spines
All knew the boundaries, limits for protection

The bravest of the brave engaged in the forlorn hope.
Equipment clashing, fire roaring, masks melting,
Tearing through debris-one, two, three saved
Onlookers singing joyously quieted, tears welling in eyes,
One of the bravest of the brave, had not made it, but died.
