| My Catuary, Beloved land of our dreams Lives on in my heart In my heart too it lives on Catuary-by-the-sea There we were carefree Fish swimming in the old pond Beneath the blue sky While we swung in our hammocks World peacefully going by Drinking catnip tea Dining on sugared mouse tails Laughing at nothing The kookaburra’s shrill laugh Such delightful company Carefree and gay were Our hearts in Catuary As young kittens we My heart will be there always Beloved land by the sea Our pawprints lie there In the garden of our dreams Where we danced all night Beneath a full shining moon Until the dawn awakened Softly in the night Beloved Catuary I sing ever of thee After studying the history of Catuary, I was inspired to write this poem in memory of Princess Hemangi BabyCat and Prince Buddee, the first Makrael and Makraela. In the poem BabyCat sings first, and is then answered by her beloved Prince.
