The sunshine

This is about someone who has always protected me but now I need the sheild off.

My tears dried up
my sadness fades
my life was once, a rainy day
then the clouds left
the sunshine came
my life is now a sunny day
you are in my mind
in my heart
but I can't wait
so I start to cheer up
you were the clouds
that were in my way
to block out my heart
never to go away
I pushed the clouds away
I let my heart heal
The sun's showing me
the right way to be
I want to thank you
for protecting me
but now I need to move on
and go a different way
I need to let the sunshine
just take me away
you're now small clouds
watching me go away
watching me learn to look, for so much more
more of the sun, less of the clouds
I don't' want you to disappear
just give me space
I don't need clouds
blocking my way
just be the sunshine
and show me away
