A poem for summertime.

Summer Thoughts

Songs of today,
play on the radio.
As the family and I
go about our way.
Each having chores
that need to be done.
Before the end of the day.

Summer is just a day away.
Graduation has also
come my way.

As the sun sets,
the family and I imagine
fun at the beach.
Our toes in the sand.
Playing in the water,
And twitching at the thought
of fire burning on our backs.
All the fun of being in the hot sun.

Now its time to sleep.
Summer thoughts in our dreams.
Congratulations to me.
Summers will never be the same.
