A sonnet... |
| Soft pale flesh glows whiter in the moonlight. Two hearts pound heavily against warm skin. Brown hands meet cascading waves in the night. Cathedral bells ring the songs of their sin. Discover their lovers’ topography. Seas of white glow against lands of darkness, Flowing as one in perfect harmony. Prayers from Christ’s brides dance with a shared kiss. Between the sounds of passion – worlds collide. Pleasure melting into carnal ecstasy, And with the old priest, the faithful confide. Skin against skin, whispered words ‘I love thee.’ Below, fearers in God avoid Hell’s fire. In the tower, lovers driven by ardent desire. |
