Last night you said you loved me
Tonight you broke my heart
Each time we speak I die a little
You tear my insides apart

I wait all day just to speak with you
We say hello and the fighting begins
So much for being civil
Who knows when all this ends

A year from now will we still be here
Attacking each other with words we don’t mean
Forgetting you would be a blessing yet somehow
I’m bound to you by a force unseen

God to be free of this hopeless love
I miss you so much it hurts
You have told me you feel the same way
Yet no matter what it never works

Last night you said you loved me

Tomorrow maybe I can find the strength
