An editorial about how love touches you.
Touches of Love

There are many different kinds of love. Some of friendship, some of family, and some of your soulmate, the person you love with all your heart. There is also the love for God. Each of these touches you in a different way. My friend is helping me pay off my credit card because she didn’t like the way they treated me. I am touched by that. An anonomyous giver gave me an upgraded membership on writing.com that allowed me to have a blog, a book of poems, and up to 244 other items in my portfolio. It’s a big gift because it’s somewhat an expensive site (though worth every penny). Sometimes my family touches me…like when I was in the hospital after my accident and they were all there. My dad said don’t worry about the car or those kind of problems…he’d take care of it. He even spent the night closeby. But the highest planes of touch are from your soulmate, your mate. They not only touch you like everyone else, touching your heart and your mind, they touch you physically as well. And when they touch you, the world turns all-around, maybe you get dizzy, maybe you feel like you’re floating. I feel something warm pulse through my veins and through my body, warming it up and sending warmth to my brain. Messages about love, comfort, and contentment. It is also a fire, a desire to be with that person. And to know that she/he can make you do anything they want. My knees grow weak and physically I just know I want to be with that person forever.

Now the touch of God is a little different. He gives a touch of wonder. A touch of miracles. A touch of protection. Sometimes you can hear him, sometimes you can literally feel him. Sometimes, yes, most of the time, you have to rely on faith that
He’s there. But maybe, I mean soon, he will give you that touch. He will give you that miracle to reward and remind you. I have been lucky. I felt myself float to God. I felt like I could talk to Him in his house. He talked to me like another man. (He loves word play) and he dressed like a man. If you don’t know Jesus like I’m learning about Him. Then it’s time to do that. It’s time to experience miracles and healing. It’s time to feel the touches of those around you.
