My Darkness

in my room waiting for darkness

The sun sets so late now. It does not
Let me meet with darkness.
It separates me from my love.
I await all bright and light day long.
Evil sun, you try so hard to keep me and my darkness apart
Even if only for another seventy two minutes,
But I will never let you drain the hope from me. I will wait forever for you, my love.

I breathe you in.
Finally, darkness begins to ever so slowly shroud and embrace me.
My love begins to create shadows around me.
Its beautiful.

The shadows grow as the ticking I hear continues.
Soon, we shall reunite.
